About us

Allithwaite Bowling Club has 81 members and has 8 teams playing in 4 different leagues.

Teams

We have entered in 2024 3 teams into the Kendal and District League. 7.00pm start. (Early and late season 6.30pm)

Our 'A' Team plays on Tuesday evenings with our B and C teams playing on Thursday evenings.

We have 3 teams in the South Westmorland Seniors League. This league generally plays on Monday afternoons, although our B team will have some Tuesday afternoon fixtures. All matches start at 2.00pm

We have 1 team in the Rothay league who play all fixtures on a Monday evening.

We have 1 team in the Rural league that is specifically run to introduce beginners to league match play. All Rural fixtures are on a Friday evening.

Green availability

The green is generally available (when league games aren't being played) at most times between late March and early September. Throughout the season we hold internal and external competitions and club social events. See News and Key Dates

Club Socials/Internal competitions

Through the 2024 season we will hold 4 fun social events which are run as a means to allow club members to gather and enjoy each others company while of course playing bowls. One of these events, The Charity Day is dedicated to raising funds for our nominated charity of the year. Our nominated charity for 2024 is Beep Doctors

3 internal competitions are held each year, open to any member and 1 external competition that is open to our members and members from other clubs, generally this is for the more experienced player.

Taster sessions
